TIG Sports’ Marnix Drysdale expects Urban Sports Week Amsterdam to grow further in the coming years. "The idea has been adopted with a lot of enthusiasm. The first edition will be small scale but we aim to grow the event over the next couple of years. Increasingly urban sports are been taken seriously, also by international sporting organizations. New sports which have been recently or will be added to the Olympic Games all have an urban factor.”
The Dutch Championships Boulder and the European Championships Panna are two of the events featuring at Urban Sports Week Amsterdam. Other prominent events are Amsterdamn Open (Skateboarding) and the Dutch Freerunning Championships. The program also includes BMX, Freestyle Football, Breakdancing, Crossfit, Slacklining and 3x3 Basketball. These spectacular events will be taking place at multiple locations across the city.
